Miguel Cotto and Manny Pacquiao Face off.
A showdown between pound for pound king Manny " Pacman" Pacquiao and welterweight titleholder Miguel Cotto will be on November 14, 2009 at the MGM Grand Las Vegas. Both of them are most popular boxer and a crowd-pleasing fighters.
Cotto with an impressive record of (34-1, 27 KOs), a titleholder at 147 pounds, agreed to drop below the welterweight limit for the fight. Pacquiao, the 140-pound junior welterweight champion, wanted him to come all the way down to 143 pounds. But Cotto refused. Ultimately, they meet at the 145-pound maximum weight.
Pacquiao considered as national hero in the Philippines said that he will make this event most memorable before the year ends. However Manny is only 70% on his condition and with only less then a month before the said fight. But still he can manage and make 100% percent condition on the said schedule.
Bob Arum the Top Rank Promoter expresses his excitement for this is a real fight because both are real warriors.
