Miguel Cotto and Manny Pacquiao Face off.

A showdown between pound for pound king Manny " Pacman" Pacquiao and welterweight titleholder Miguel Cotto will be on November 14, 2009 at the MGM Grand Las Vegas. Both of them are most popular boxer and a crowd-pleasing fighters.

Cotto with an impressive record of (34-1, 27 KOs), a titleholder at 147 pounds, agreed to drop below the welterweight limit for the fight. Pacquiao, the 140-pound junior welterweight champion, wanted him to come all the way down to 143 pounds. But Cotto refused. Ultimately, they meet at the 145-pound maximum weight.

Pacquiao considered as national hero in the Philippines said that he will make this event most memorable before the year ends. However Manny is only 70% on his condition and with only less then a month before the said fight. But still he can manage and make 100% percent condition on the said schedule.

We all know that its not appropriate to enjoy and be happy at this time of difficulties. But residents in Recto used the flooded area as their place for swimming. Typhoon "Ondoy" hits Philippines caused flood all over Metro Manila.

A six hour heavy rains poured in Metro Manila which causes flood that made the resident vacate and stay at roof top of their houses last Saturday. The government declared state of calamity where lots of people stranded and no food to eat. The typhoon was not bringing strong winds but it gives large volumes of rains that is equivalent for 1 month of non stop raining. You will see pictures below on how much damage caused by typhoon "Ondoy". It was a tragic moment for 75 people were killed and 25 are still missing. Some organizations have already mobilizing their tracks and helicopters to rescue those who were stranded. Well known companies were giving money and food for the victims. International organizations and some Embassy like US and China offers fund almost a 100 thousand dollars for the restorations of the damage infrastructures and casualties.

World's first successful AIDS vaccine

It was 26 years ago when AIDS was first discovered. Every day, 7,500 people worldwide are newly infected with HIV; 2 million died of AIDS in 2007, UNAIDS estimates. Many scientist think that a successful vaccine would not be possible. But recently, the World Health Organization and UN agency for AIDS said that there is still hope. It was first time scientist used the combination approach that would prevent HIV at the same time treating it. Though it will be more likely take years for the vaccine widely spread. "It's an opening of a new gateway to a road that has brighter lights in it now and maybe some directions" said by Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. Scientists around the world cheered the first taste of victory.

Mayweather dominating against the numero uno Juan Miguel Marquez

After the long awaited fight of the number one versus the numero uno. The undefeated known to be as Floyd "money" Mayweather dominated the fight against the three time world champion Juan Miguel Marquez. On the first round Mayweather took already the advantage, most of his punch were landed on the face of Marquez that made a cut on his right part of his eyebrow. On the second round Marquez was knockdown on a very strong right upper jab of Mayweather. Marquez realeases so many strong punches that made his opponent cover and stay away from it. However it didn't work out for the counter punch executed by Mayweather until the twelve rounds end. So the final decision was unanimous and given it to Floyd Mayweather. He has already got his 40th win after 21 months of retirement. He said the he misses this kind of atmosphere and most likely the talk of the town might be Shane Mosley and Manny Pacquiao to be his next opponent. Indeed, it was a great fight and proven again as one of the best pound for pound boxer.

9/11 memories

It's been 8 years already when America bombarded with terrorist attacked. It was on September 11 year 2001 when two Airplanes hit the great Twin Tower in New York and killed almost 3000 innocent people. American together with President Obama commemorates the 9/11 day and one of the highlights of this event is to mention the names of the victims while ringing the bell in giving them due respect and honor. President Obama said that he will not allow again those barbaric acts of Al Qaeda and he will find ways to resolve all of these terrorism activities. It was very sentimental and very dramatic event for the Americans and for those who were involve on the tragic. This is the day to all New Yorkers as what President Obama emphasized since they are greatly affected on the attacks. But then again it was not only addressed only to the Americans but to the whole regions in the world to fight against terrorism and may the 9/11 memories may continue to live until justice is serve.

Aquino's Legacy continues

After the death of former President Cory will Noynoy continues the legacy of his parents in defending the country from any political interest? We all know what does his parents did to free the nations from dictatorship of former President Marcos. Going back to the history Ninoy said to his last speech in America that he shall drop the last blood for the restoration of the Philippine democracy. Then it was realized when Ninoy shot before he landed and returned to his native land. Though it was a tragic and painful especially to the family who left behind. But it is an awakening mode for all Filipinos to fight and stop those abusive works of the government. And the late Cory Aquino continued what her husband started and became the first ever woman president .

These are the moments and highlights why we are having a stable governance today, of course lets owe this one to Ninoy and Cory, they are the icons of democracy . In this coming 2010 election, its time to choose a leader that would unify the two parties from political disputes. A lot of faces reveal from the candidacy but the silent Noynoy was chosen among his countrymen to run for president. It was a big challenge to Noynoy to go for a very big responsibilities. Question since we have already heard him that he is accepting the challenge will he be able to change the view of politics today? Or will he be accepted and be respected from his co politician if ever he will be chosen? The fact is let us give him the chance and Noynoy is just human and sometimes can commit mistakes but as long as he is sincere to serve the nation with trust and loyal then lets give him the way for him to prove it.
